My name is Cynthia Vidal. I was introduced to JBF by a friend 14yrs ago. My family was going through a tough time as my granddaughter had been a victim of baby shaken syndrome and the health insurance was not covering more than half of her medical bills and would not pay for her feeding pump. We decided to do a yard sale and try to raise funds but my friend said why not consign baby items at the local JBF sale. So I posted on Facebook if anyone had any baby equipment or items that they would want to donate so we could consign them and raise the money for the pump. That was our first JBF participation. Though my granddaughter passed away a year later we continued season after season participating. Now we raise money through JBF for a local food bank that also helps the homeless and we help fund mission trips. Through the 14 years we have been with JBF we have also introduced many families to the consignment that have become shoppers and consignors. Many are still participating today. JBF has been a huge blessing to our family. I know it is to other families too.
